Mirador de Abreante, the absolute spectacular viewpoint above the village of Agulo, is a must-see on La Gomera. It is located high up in the mountains of the islands northern coast. The way up is already worth the trip because of the islands beautiful landscapes.
That viewpoint has a 7-meter long platform suspended in the air and is made almost entirely of glass. Even the floor is built from glass, so the view is so much more spectacular than we thought –and of course a challenge for those who suffer from vertigo. For those who don’t, it feels like floating in the sky.
The platform is built in a well-designed Restaurant which absolutely fits with its surroundings. Having lunch with an amazing view, a nice glass of house-own red wine and a very professional service: what do you want more? By the way, we had the chance to experience a special demonstration of the whistling language on La Gomera –very impressive.
