Founded in the year 2001, Bodega Los Bermejos gets its name from the vermilion-coloured earth (vermilion is "bermellón" in Spanish), which is found under the volcanic ash on the land where the property lies. It could not be better located: in Juan Bello in the municipality of San Bartolomé – a typical grape-growing area in Lanzarote, surrounded by country estates that keep the presses and wineries from olden times that are used to process all the grapes from the different estates.
We don't visit wineries every day so the experience of going to a winery that has been awarded numerous prizes at world level is incredible. Los Bermejos is characterised by the production method used at its vineyards and Lanzarote offers prime conditions to make production unique. A must-visit if you are on the island.
